Cricket · every format, Gulf time
For a huge share of UAE households the sporting year is measured in overs, not goals. This page covers live cricket TV, HD streaming and catch-up from the Emirates: what the sport section carries, how each format fits a Gulf working week, and which plan suits a fan who follows more than one team.

Cricket in the Emirates
The Emirates have a cricket culture few outsiders expect. Grounds in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah host international and franchise matches, the parks fill with tape-ball games every Friday morning, and traffic in some neighbourhoods thins out when a chase gets tight. Getting live cricket TV into UAE homes is as routine as the weekly grocery run.
Fans here follow more than one side. A Pakistani family may watch its national team, a domestic T20 league and the big Indian franchise competition, while the Sri Lankan neighbour backs a different set of players entirely. One login for live cricket TV has to serve all of them, so the sport categories are wide rather than narrow, and every tier on our plans page carries them in Full HD at least.

Formats
For live cricket TV, T20 is the easiest format to schedule. A game lasts about three and a half hours, and most franchise leagues place matches in a window built for South Asian audiences, which suits the UAE just as well. A T20 evening game is the closest thing to a family ritual we hear about: dinner timed to the strategic break, the children allowed to stay up for the last two overs, and the group chat louder than the commentary.
One-day internationals ask for an afternoon and an evening. Tests are another matter: five days, three sessions a day, and often a time zone that drops play into the middle of your working day. That is where catch-up earns its price. On Gold 4K the sport channels that support it can be rewound three days; on Platinum the window is seven.
Women’s cricket, under-19 tournaments and domestic first-class games also turn up in the sport categories from time to time. Live cricket TV coverage changes with the calendar, so if one series is essential, ask us before you order. The same goes for the smaller cricket nations: Afghanistan, Ireland and the associate sides appear when their matches are broadcast, not on a fixed schedule.
Long days
Fans who follow Tests from here develop habits. Some watch the first session before work when Australia or New Zealand host, then pick up the rest in the evening. Others leave the match running on a second screen in the kitchen while the main TV plays something else. A few simply book annual leave for the big series, which we neither encourage nor judge.
Whatever the routine, three settings make live cricket TV easier to live with. Mark your live cricket TV channels as favourites, keep the player updated so catch-up behaves, and put the box to sleep rather than switching it off at the wall, so it wakes quickly when a wicket falls. A box that takes two minutes to boot feels much longer at 3am.

Picture
Compared with football, live cricket TV asks little of a stream: the camera sits behind the bowler for most of the over. The detail matters in bursts, though, when a faint edge flies to slip or a fielder dives at fine leg. Silver’s Full HD copes with those bursts on an ordinary living room set. Where a source broadcasts in 4K, the two upper tiers let you count the stitches on the seam during the slow-motion review.
Budget roughly 15 Mbps of headroom for each 4K screen; Full HD gets by on a fraction of that. Our guide to 4K IPTV explains what the TV and box need.

Ask a questionBroadcast arrangements move around, so we never pledge a particular series or tournament. A quick WhatsApp question before you order gets an honest picture of what the sport section carries right now.
Some sources offer more than one commentary language and some do not. It depends on the channel, so check the sport category or ask us.
Yes, wherever catch-up is switched on for that channel. Gold 4K keeps about three days, Platinum seven. Silver has no catch-up.
No. The matches stream over your home internet to a player app on a smart TV, stick, box or phone.
There is no separate cricket app. You install a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate on your TV, stick, box or phone and sign in with our details; the cricket channels sit in the sport section with everything else.
Beyond the match
Studio shows before and after play, in more than one language depending on the source.
Compact packages for evenings when fifty overs feel like too many.
Stories of famous tours and players in the film and series catalogue.
Serials, news and music from home for the rest of the family.
Cartoons for the youngest while the grown-ups argue about a review.

| What you see | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| One cricket channel freezes, others play | That source is struggling | Switch to another channel carrying the match and tell us which one froze |
| Every channel freezes | Home network or router | Power-cycle router and box; if it returns, wire the box in or move it to 5 GHz |
| Picture soft or blocky | Bandwidth shared with other devices | Pause downloads and video calls in the house, or pick the Full HD version |
| Guide shows wrong start times | Device time zone | Set the box or TV to Gulf Standard Time (GMT+4) |
| Catch-up missing on a channel | No catch-up on that source or on Silver | Check the tier and try another channel; not every source records |
Several fans, one house
Clashes are common in a busy season: a franchise final on one channel, a Test in another hemisphere, and somebody else wanting the news. Our two-screen extras let two devices play at once for a year. Platinum Lifetime allows up to four screens, which suits shared villas and large families in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Each screen follows its own match, and the extra device can be a phone or a laptop as easily as a second TV. That keeps live cricket TV from turning into a fight over the remote. For the rest of the family’s South Asian viewing, our guide to Indian and Pakistani channels covers serials, news and films, and the Wikipedia overview of IPTV explains how internet TV is delivered.
Pick the tier that matches your household, settle up, and have live cricket TV ready at home for the next series. Questions about commentary or catch-up? Ask us on WhatsApp before the toss.
