Setup guide · player app
IPTV Smarters Pro is the player most new customers open first. It costs nothing to install, signs in with the details from our welcome email and runs on Fire TV, Android TV, iPhone, iPad and Windows. Below: the install, the sign-in, the guide, and the handful of settings that make a huge channel list feel like your own TV.
Start here
IPTV Smarters Pro arrives empty. It has no channels of its own and never will; it is a front end that connects to a TV service once you hand it a login. A useful comparison is a mail app: free to install, useless until you add an account. Our account details reach your inbox shortly after payment, in two formats, and the app accepts both.
Why do so many people start with IPTV Smarters Pro? The home screen splits live TV, films, series and catch-up into four large tiles, so nobody in the family has to learn a new remote language. It keeps several profiles, handles parental locks and shows a programme guide without extra work. No plan yet? Compare the tiers on our yearly and lifetime plans page, and the login can be waiting by the time the app is installed.
These steps follow the Android and Fire TV build of IPTV Smarters Pro. Labels move a little between releases, so if a button reads slightly differently, choose the nearest match.
Play Store for Android TV, Google TV and Android phones; App Store for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Fire TV is the odd one out: it needs a downloader from Amazon first, which then fetches the player.
Pick TV or mobile layout if it asks, and skip any optional add-ons offered on the welcome screens.
On the add-user screen, select the Xtream codes login. It loads films, series and listings more neatly than the playlist route.
A name of your choosing, then username, password and server line from the welcome email. Match every character, from the opening http:// to the colon-and-digits ending.
The app now downloads categories, the on-demand library and the guide. A TV stick may need two or three minutes the first time; later launches are quick.
Choose a category, start a channel, and press the options button on anything you watch often to add it to favourites.
If the app refuses the login, our failed to authorize checklist walks through every likely cause in order.

The login stays the same everywhere. Only the route to the app changes from one device to the next.
The player is missing from Amazon’s own store, so you sideload it: a downloader app, permission for that one app, then the install. Each screen of that route is in our Fire Stick setup guide.
Listed in the Play Store on most certified sets and boxes. Install, open, sign in.
The App Store version has a nearly identical login screen and the same four boxes.
Same store as the TV boxes; the phone version switches to an upright layout for one-handed viewing.
There is a desktop edition; the Windows install walkthrough covers the safe download.
Older Tizen and webOS televisions often do not list it in their own store. IBO Player usually fills that gap, and a stick in a spare HDMI port settles it for good.
Sign-in format
Use the Xtream codes option whenever the app offers it: the library, replay and guide arrive sorted, while the playlist link is better kept for VLC. What each field means, and the typos that break it, is set out in our field-by-field Xtream reference.
Programme guide
With the Xtream sign-in, IPTV Smarters Pro normally loads the listings by itself. If the guide area stays grey, open settings, find the section labelled EPG or TV guide, and ask it to load or refresh. It holds listings for a very long channel list, so a few minutes on a stick is normal.
Programmes showing an hour or more out of step means the clock and the app disagree. Check first that the device itself runs on Gulf Standard Time with automatic time switched on. Only then touch the time-shift option inside the app, if your version has one. A handful of small channels publish no listings at all; they still play.
First week
Tell IPTV Smarters Pro to start on your favourites list, so the channels the house really uses come up first.
Lock film and late-evening categories before the children find them.
If the built-in player stutters on an older box, switch to VLC as the external player and compare.
A smaller buffer makes channel changes quicker; a larger one smooths a weak connection.
On Gold 4K or Platinum, confirm the device’s display setting is 4K, not Auto 1080p.
Family set-up
Thousands of channels only start to feel like home once the favourites exist. In the live section of IPTV Smarters Pro, long-press a channel (or use the options button) and add it. If the household shares one profile, keep a single list of the channels people genuinely watch; if your version allows separate profiles, give each person a short one.
For grandparents, push their news and religious channels to the top and switch on the larger layout if offered. For children, the PIN does the work. One thing no setting can change: installing IPTV Smarters Pro on the lounge TV, a bedroom stick and two phones is fine, but only as many can play together as your tier allows. When one device too many starts, another stops. Most families know within a week whether they need a two-screen or three-screen option.

Ask a questionThe player is free on the major stores. What you pay for is the service that fills it, which comes from your plan.
On Gold 4K and Platinum, channels that support replay carry a small catch-up mark, and a Catch Up tile shows on the home screen.
Yes. Add a second user from the profile screen and switch between them; handy if a relative’s account lives on your TV too.
You probably signed in with the playlist link. Remove that profile and add the account again using the Xtream option.
Normally it does. If a new version ever asks again, type the original details; an app update changes nothing on the account itself.
Updates
The developer of IPTV Smarters Pro ships updates several times a year, and a new release sometimes relocates a setting or turns a word into an icon. That is the only reason any guide, ours included, has to describe buttons loosely. Updates usually bring fixes and support for newer hardware, so accept them when the store offers.
Fire TV is the exception. A copy fetched through a downloader will not update itself, so every few months open the app’s settings, note the version, and fetch the current build the same way you installed it. If a new release misbehaves on your box, message us the version number and device model; we test on common hardware and can suggest a workaround.
Other players
Some households outgrow the tile layout. Former satellite viewers often prefer a grid guide with channel numbers, which is what our TiviMate walkthrough covers. Owners of modest boxes like the lighter XCIPTV, and iPhone users sometimes settle on GSE Smart IPTV.
Because the same login works in each, trying another costs nothing but ten minutes. Our player-by-device comparison matches each screen in the house with an app, and the Wikipedia article on IPTV explains the technology underneath.
Plans
Every tier works in the player. Gold 4K adds Ultra-HD and three days of catch-up; Platinum adds four screens and a week of replay.
